In August 2024 it was announced that our parent company SIG Roofing – a part of SIG PLC – was the first merchant to achieve the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) Assessment for Merchants and Distributors. What does this mean for AccuRoof customers?
About the CCPI Code for Merchants and Distributors
The CCPI was created to raise standards in construction product information. It aims to encourage greater product information accuracy so that everyone in the supply chain, be they manufacturers, merchants, distributors or contractors, can make more informed decisions about product selection.
The CCPI has three codes – for manufacturers, for supporters and for merchants and distributors. The code for merchants and distributors focuses specifically on the company’s systems and processes as a conduit for product information.
As a CCPI Assessed Merchant and Distributor we have a responsibility to reproduce and update manufacturer’s product information, ensuring the data remains clear, current, and accurate to its original interpretation. We also take responsibility for the competency and training of individuals involved in product information.
How AccuRoof and SIG Roofing implement the CCPI Code
AccuRoof and other SIG Roofing brands are working to ensure that the information about products available on our websites, including the descriptions of products and technical advice, meets the CCPI code for clarity, accuracy, and accessibility and is always up to date.
Over and above the CCPI Code: SIG Assured
As a distributor SIG Roofing works proactively with manufacturers to ensure their products are accurately represented. Through our compliance specialists at SIG Assured, set up thirteen years ago, we are also able to ensure their products meet regulatory compliance needs.
In addition to product compliance, SIG Assured assesses suppliers’ management systems, ethical, environmental and sustainability practices, and completes on site audits. This makes it possible to ensure that SIG companies only supply products and services of the highest standards.

Why have we got behind the CCPI Initiative?
The CCPI’s acid tests to be clear, accurate, accessible, up-to-date and unambiguous chime closely to the AccuRoof objectives to provide accurate, system agnostic advice on roofing to specifiers, contractors and their customers.
We are delighted that SIG Roofing and its subsidiary brands including AccuRoof have received recognition for the work we have done in the last two years by the awarding of the CCPI mark for Merchants and Distributors.
The work doesn’t stop here, because being a part of the CCPI family is a journey of continual improvement.
If you identify something that we can do better, please get in touch. We’ve got recognition for the work we’re doing – help us to do it better.
