SIG Design & Technology’s DATAC scheme ensures the contractors who install our products are fully trained and supported by our field technicians during the construction phase.

Contractors must attend a course at our training centre in Shepshed. These courses are approved and monitored by not only our product manufacturers but also our trade associations. Once a course is completed, the individual’s details are entered onto our database and a photo identity card issued.

The completion of the training course signifies the start of our support not the end of it. Our team of field technicians undertake regular site inspections to ensure compliance with installation methodology and to help, support and offer advice on correct application, intricate interfacing with other construction elements, and compliance with British Standards, Code of Practice and Building Regulations.

DATAC members have full access to the support from the technical and commercial team pre tender, during installation and on completion, including assistance with site surveys, wind uplift, thermal and acoustic calculations, design of tapered insulation schemes, maintenance and aftercare.

Technical queries from DATAC members, architects and specifiers are dealt with by our office based team, who use their expertise, combined with the support of technical departments of our partners, to ensure the best and independent advice is given in a clear and concise way.
